775 Icelandic Volcanism talk
Professor Tamsin Mather, Univ Supernumerary Fellow in Earth Sciences, presented the first of our 775 Univ Online Talks on 11 March: “Icelandic volcanism: grounded flights, fissures and fires – past crises and the possible start of a new magmatic saga on the Reykjanes Peninsula”. The event was followed by a short Q&A session, led by the Master, Baroness Amos.

Professor Tamsin Mather’s research focuses on volcanic processes, whether that be as natural hazards, agents of environmental change or as key natural resources. Her most recent publication, , is due to be published in April 2024.
