Professor Barry Cooper (1966, Music) published (The Boydell Press, 2024), a unique investigation of the composition of the entire corpus of Beethoven’s symphonies.
Dr Michael Ferguson (1964, Geography) published (Halsgrove, 2024).

Jonathan Gaunt (1966, Mods and Greats 鈥 Literae Humaniores) published the 22nd edition of (Sweet & Maxwell, December 2024).
Fred Harrison (1970, PPE), Research Director of the London-based Land Research Trust, is to publish his magnum opus, , in 2025. His first book, The Power in the Land (1983), predicted the economic crisis of 1992.
Professor Dr Michael C Jackson OBE (1970, PPE), Emeritus Professor at the University of Hull, published (Wiley, 2024).
Annette Kern-St盲hler (1988, English) published , ed. Annette Kern-St盲hler and Elizabeth Robertson (OUP, 2023).
Professor Dr Karin Lesnik-Oberstein (1992, English), Salvesen Junior Research Fellow 1992鈥1 1995, published 鈥淐hildren鈥檚 Literature and Theory鈥 in (London: Routledge, 2024) and
Joanna McMillan (1986, Physics and Philosophy) published her third novel (Bluemoose Books Ltd, January 2025).


Professor Mortimer Sellers (1980, Law) published the first full printed edition of the , edited with Professor Stephan Kirste (Springer, 2024).
Lucy Steeds (2015, World Literatures in English) published her debut novel (John Murray Press, January 2025) in the UK, US, Australia and New Zealand, and has so far been translated into Spanish and German. The book was longlisted for the 2025 Women’s Prize for Fiction and was a Radio 4 Book at Bedtime in April 2025. She is currently working on her second novel.
Rick Stroud (1965, English) published his latest book (Simon & Schuster, 2024).
