Switching Perceptions
Dr Liz Tunbridge, Supernumerary Research Fellow in Psychiatry,聽has collaborated with Oxford-based artist Eleanor Minney and people from the National Psychosis Unit at Bethlem Hospital, to develop an art exhibition reflecting on links between genes and psychiatric illnesses, and how these associations are intertwined with notions of the self.
, who is also Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, is collaborating with Eleanor Minney to explore the question: 鈥淲hat creates a sense of self?鈥� Dr Tunbridge鈥檚 work seeks to elucidate the links between genetic heritage and predisposition to schizophrenia. Their project is being funded by the Royal Society and the University of Oxford.
Dr Tunbridge has been awarded the Vice Chancellor鈥檚 Award for Public Engagement. She has also given a TEDx talk as part of TEDx Whitehall 2018, discussing .
聽works primarily with drawing and making. She is also training in contemplative psychology, which incorporates Buddhist teachings into Western psychology.
