Univ Futures – Issue 1
Univ Futures聽is a new annual magazine for donors, to illustrate the impact that philanthropy has had on the College.
Issue 1 celebrates the Oxford-Radcliffe Scholarships, with contributions from Professor Nick Rawlins (1968, PPP), former Pro Vice Chancellor, Development and External Affairs for the University, Professor Peter Jezzard, Vice Master, Professor Caroline Terquem, Dean of Graduates, Sir Ivor Crewe, former Master of Univ and Baroness Amos, current Master. We also hear from some of our current and former Oxford-Radcliffe scholars.
There are also features on the Dr Andrei Klein Czech Scholarship and the Univ-Rhodes Scholarship 鈥� with contributions from Bruns Grayson (1974, PPE), Peter Carfagna (1975, Law) and current Rhodes Scholars. In addition, we interview Jamie Coleman (1994, Social Sciences) about why he supports the Univ Boat Club and meets the new Boat Club Coach. Dr Andrew Bell (1992, History), Senior Tutor, discusses the impact of Univ鈥檚 Opportunity Programme five years on. The magazine also contains an introduction to the Centenary Visiting Professor of Philosophy, Politics and Economics, the Pavel and Ivana Tyka膷 Fellowship. Dr Andrew Grant (1977, Chemistry), Finance Bursar, provides an update on the College鈥檚 finances, and there鈥檚 a report on the Legacies Telethon and the benefits of regular giving.
