Univ OMs at Oxford Literary Festival

Neel MukherjeeUniv Old Members appearing at the Oxford Literary Festival this year include Luke Harding, Alistair Lack, Neel Mukherjee, Prof. Steven Parissien, Andrew Robinson, Prof. Emily Rose, Rick Stroud and Timothy Walker.

Television and radio broadcaster Alastair Lack (1964, History), former head of English programmes at BBC World Service, leads a series of walking tours as part of the festival:

Cultural and architectural historian  (1978, History), director of Compton Verney gallery, introduces BBC Arts Editor Will Gomperz at the Ashmolean Museum on 3rd April – SOLD OUT.

Emmy-winning writer and television director  (1967, English) discuss the difficulties faced by soldiers as they struggle with traumatic memories of war with Second World War veteran Victor Gregg and war correspondent Matthew Green on 4th April.

Booker-shortlisted author  (1992, English) and Bodley’s librarian Richard Ovenden talk to critic and writer Erica Wagner about the author Alan Garneron 4th April.

Journalist and writer  (1975, Chemistry) talks about the life and work of Einstein on 5th April.

±á¾±²õ³Ù´Ç°ù¾±²¹²ÔÌý (1983, History) discusses The Murder of William of Norwich on 7th April.

 (1977, Plant Sciences), Director of the University of Oxford Botanic Garden, gives an introduction to plants on 8th April.

´¡·É²¹°ù»å-·É¾±²Ô²Ô¾±²Ô²µÌýGuardian foreign correspondent  (1987, English) joins a panel of writers to discuss Post-Gorbachev Russia on 9th April.

 (1978, History) chairs a discussion on the Rothschild Family Garden on 10th April.
